Tracy Chapman

Beginning writing music at age 11, Tracy Chapman would become one of the most popular singer/songwriters of the late 80s’ and early 90s’. Born on March 30, 1964 in Clevland Ohio, she began understanding at an early age the hardships that many people face. The ”A Better Chance” program quickly discovered this young prospect and accepted her into the Wooster School (A highly acclaimed K-12 prepratory academy). After completing high school, Chapman was accepted into Tuffs University. At Tuffs, Chapman further developed her musical talent.
